Chinese mathematicians solved math puzzle

Prof. Shing-Tung Yau with the Institute of Mathematical Sciences in the
Chinese University of Hong Kong met the press regarding Poincar��
conjecture, one of the world's most difficult math puzzles, was solved by
Chinese mathematicians Prof. Zhu Xiping and Cao Huaidong on June 11.
Poincar�� conjecture remained unsolved for over a century among the seven
math puzzles in the world. French mathematician Henri Poincar�� put
forward a topological puzzle known as the "Poincar�� conjecture" in 1904,
attracting numerous mathematicians around the globe to study intensively
in the past century. In recent years, it became one of the seven math
puzzles in the world.
Chinese mathematician Zhu Xiping met the press about solving the
"Poincar�� conjecture" in the Chinese University of Hong Kong on the 11th.
